What We Do

Alluvion, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works with communities in Maryland and the District of Columbia to create meaningful events that improve people’s financial and economic well-being. We educate, counsel, support, and advocate for underserved communities so that they can make better decisions, understand the present financial situation, and forecast a possible financial future. Our goal is to ensure that everyone understands personal finances and the economic outlook for their country, whether they are children, teens, or adults. We strive to help people move above the poverty line. No matter what, we take every possible step to imbibe a healthy financial lifestyle for the citizens of our country.

Our Mission

To increase financial awareness and economic literacy in underserved communities through education, counseling, support, and advocacy.

History

Alluvion, Inc. 501(c)(3) was formed to address financial awareness and economic literacy on a broader scale to serve the community and the members of Rivers of Life African Methodist Episcopal Church. The initial benefactors were the members of the church who resided in Greenbelt, Md. People could develop their budgets, obtain life insurance and adjust their retirement accounts to align with their retirement goals. Alluvion offers an opportunity for recalibration of one’s financial landscape. Our goal is to provide adequate resources to enhance one’s development while also ensuring that everyone has the best financial experience possible. Others will be inspired to increase the upward financial mobility of their communities by modeling life-changing experiences.

Our Core Beliefs

  1. As we work to improve personal development, financial awareness and economic literacy are top priorities for all community members with whom we work.
  2. We believe the communities will take appropriate steps to sustain healthy financial lifestyles.
